Our Academics
Providence Academy received accreditation through the Florida League of Christian Schools in the spring of 2025. PA uses the Abeka curriculum. Abeka has been around for decades and teaches all of the core subject areas. Additionally, Abeka incorporates the Bible throughout its curriculum, features an art component, and includes instruction in cursive writing.

Literacy
Abeka's Reading program begins with the basics, including phonics and phonemic awareness. Then it builds to developing literacy skills through fluency and vocabulary.

Science
Science is an inquisitive subject area, and students can engage in inquiry through hands-on activities. Students also learn how God is incorporated through each element of science.

Writing
Early on, students learn the proper way to write in print, holding the writing utensil correctly. Once this is mastered, students learn cursive writing. Students also learn the importance of dictionaries, thesaurus', and writing research papers.

Social Studies
Learning about the world is important. Students learn about US History, World History, Geography, and more. Most importantly, they learn how God created the world and all that is in it.

Mathematics
Younger students learn basic math skills and concepts. Each grade level builds and becomes more rigorous. By third grade, students are multiplying, dividing, and working with fractions.

Electives
Students enjoy PE, Art, and Spanish each week. Middle school students participate in electives. They will have a semester of PE and Leadership. Then they choose between Art, Drama, Yearbook, or Technology for the second elective.
